Contract Labor :

There is no provision of hiring of contract labor either directly or through he contractor on the jobs of permanent nature, continued for indefinite period and being the core activities of the organizations however there is a provision on contracting out the “ job’ on contract to the independent contractor.

The practices and legal agreements in conflict with the law stands null & void and consequently the legal remedy available to the workers is getting the permanent status.

The study of contract labor management system in Pakistan have shown that the contract labor management practices, and documentation are in conflict with the regulatory provisions as a result the contract workers may seek legal remedy for getting the status of the employees of the organization claiming all applicable benefits. Fauji Foundation 240 contract workers who were working with them since last 10 years were reinstated as permanent employees of the organization.
